What this site is
A ranked directory of service businesses in Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Naples, built on records rather than opinions. Every business we rank is matched to a Florida regulator record first. The score is a summary of what those records and a business's own website show, and nothing else.
Software does the work. We pull the public files the state publishes, match each business to the records in them, read what the business states about itself, take what a business sends us, and fact-check as far as those sources allow. We do not survey anybody, we do not telephone these businesses and we do not form an opinion about the work they do.

Who owns it
Southwest Florida Reviews is published by Aurawave Inc., which shares an owner with Spearleaf, a marketing agency. That is a real conflict and we handle it in the open: a public conflict register, a disclosure sentence on every affected card and profile, and one hard rule. A business that buys marketing services from Spearleaf can never hold a place in a top ten here, whatever it scores. It can still be listed, it still has a profile and a score, and it still appears in the full list of businesses under a page, with the disclosure beside it. The rule is the protection here, not a promise about who does the scoring: the score is worked out by software from public records, the same way for every business on the site.
